Casa Belinda Malarayat, Lipa, Batangas
I was in hunt of a perfect spot for our quick weekend getaway just right in time when the opportunity to visit this place knocked in. I decided to put a temporary stop in visiting beach destinations in the first quarter of the year for I know it will come prolific for the rest of 2018, which is likely anticipated. In this article, allow me to feature another stone’s throw destination off to public’s eye.
A quick 1.5-2 hour ride from Manila you will reach Casa Belinda Malarayat, a family owned rest house situated in Lipa, Batangas. Delighted by its chill vibes, it was our home for the weekend. We arranged the accommodation back in Manila, seeing the photos over the internet (limited photos) made me wonder if it was worth the visit since there were only few write ups for Casa Belinda, we kick the tires and still gave it a go. Our contact Ms. Lingling was very responsive to all our concerns and questions so it was quite a smooth communication which I hugely appreciated.
As mentioned Casa Belinda is a family owned rest house, it’s a newly opened villa within the vicinity of Malarayat Country Club, so if you will go there via private car it will not be difficult to find, network signal is not a problem. For public commute you need to ride a bus (jam, alps, dltb, etc.) to SM Lipa, from SM Lipa it's around 15 minute tricyle ride to the place. I suggest you coordinate with the caretaker or the owner once you get to SM Lipa for detailed instructions.
The thrill never came to my senses until we reached the place. Darn! It’s gorgeous. I was surprised that it looked way better than the photos we saw. I read the description from the owner at the air bnb website and I remember "home away from home" the place is true to her statement. We went around the area, everything’s chic and elegantly designed, we witnessed nothing but perfection. The staff was also very accommodating. At least four of their staff were already outside waiting for us when we arrived and had their warm welcome, that was gratifying.
Though it was a gloomy day when we paid a visit (not favorable for taking photos) I managed to embrace the fridgit weather. Be aware that it lies at the foot of Mount Malarayat and Tagaytay, the weather can get extremely cold at night especially during the rainy season. We spent the entire afternoon taking photos and shooting the best shots we can to at least give justice to what this place has and relay the visuals to our audience, these shots will be everywhere, I know (hopefully).
The night lights were utterly charming, if you’re an enthusiast of night light photography I bet you’re in a perfect spot to show off your skill. You will surely enjoy the place by simply just sitting there. If you're seeking a serene ambiance, privacy and luxury, Casa Belinda is certainly not in scarce to all that.
I left the place with assortment of emotions. I was happy at the same time sad that I needed to leave, you know when it’s already near the check out time but then you’re still enjoying to chillax? Sad that soon I had to face the everyday reality, that's my least favorite part of being a traveler.
I want to thank all the staff of Casa Belinda Malarayat especially Lingling for providing us the best staycation, she was in Macau for the weekend but still managed to coordinate with us and checked if we're ok from time to time, she's the sweetest. I don’t see any reasons not to go back to this captivating home away from home. I will for sure give this place a 10/10 rating.

Accommodation and rates:
We stayed at the kubo, they call it kubo but it’s more like a western styled cabin. The max capacity 6 pax for 8,000 php/night. See the photos below
There are two regular rooms, each can accommodate 3 pax for 4,000 php/night, both with private restrooms. See the photos below
They also have a guest room that can accommodate 6 pax for 6,000 php/ night. It has 2 queen beds and 2 pull outs.
The place may look intimidating but the rate is synchronize to their customer service value and it isn't bad for group sharing since all their rooms are flexible for group package.
