Staycation during the holidays is fun especially if it would be spent with you family or friends. Once a plan is for a staycation is concrete, the next step is to look for a place to stay. The place should be comfortable and accessible, a home away from home. Or, if you will be spending it with your friends, it should look nice enough to to take pictures and to have them posted in Instagram or Facebook.
Nordic Homes  Tagaytay located in Cityland Prime Residences in Tagaytay is both comfortable and Instagram-worthy. We were greeted by Miss Eya, the very warm and welcoming care taker of the units. She first showed us the Nordic’s Crystal room, which can accommodate 2-5 pax.

We easily warmed up to the place and spent a good 15-minute taking photos of the displays of the room and the beautiful Tagaytay scenery. We were already thinking of captions for the photos we took to be posted later on our Instagram account. Next, Miss Eya led us to the Nordic’s Breeze room which can accommodate 5-7 pax. It had a striking black and white theme, perfect for monochromatic lovers

She ushered us to our room for the night, the Nordic’s Azul. We were all left in awe after seeing the room. The interior design, the calming blue and white theme of the room and the beautiful scene by the terrace welcomed us and we were all glad to comply. What sets this room apart from the other room was the walls, they were shaped like brick walls and felt as if you were transported to a cottage in Santorini, facing the Aegean Sea. Of course, we were informed that there is another room called Nordic’s Santorini but the room we had felt like we were in Greece.

After putting our bags down, we immediately started scanning the room and spent a good 2 hours (or more) setting up the room for a mini photo-shoot. We were hesitant to jump on the bed (it was too pretty to be messed up) so we decided to take photos around it. It was also good that the place is very accessible to a lot of establishments, we placed a delivery order from McDonald’s without any hassle. We were famished because of the en route travel so we devoured our food as fast as we can and resumed our photoshoot.

Another plus point for Nordic Homes is its access to the rooftop deck. It gave us a majestic view of the Taal Lake and the whole of Tagaytay. It was very windy when we got up there and we were not prepared. We had to get back to our room to warm up and prepare for dinner.

Approaching the entrance of the City Land property is an eye catching cafe with a cozy playful ambience from the outside filled with Paintings and calligraphy, Cafe Nativo. Their tapa and corned beef breakfast meal are really good. We also enjoyed their pasta bolognese.

Nordic Homes in Tagaytay is not only a picturesque place for you to stay over the weekend, it can also be a getaway if you are tired from the hustle and bustle of Manila. With different room themes to choose from, it would be as if you are staying in another country or another time. Each corner of the room would have a place in your phone’s gallery because everything is just well-thought off to be photographed.
