IMG_20210201_092318 It's long since the restrictions has been implemented in various cities and provinces in our country, I bet you are all clamoring to return everything back to normal and forget the year 2020 (and even 2021) as if it never happened. For us Manileños we were left with scarceful of options for leisure travels. Even when a province allows tourists, they would still require documents and health certification before they open their gates for anyone to stay. The situation is already taxing, so when you think of going out of town and that you still need to accomplish those requirements you'd rather pass and stay home instead. Even condominiums and hotels in Manila had some stepbacks in allowing guests in booking their stay, some totally shut down. The most accessible go-to place by far is Tagaytay, in sync to circumstance, more tourist are coming in, booking a place to stay in Tagaytay needed a little patience than usual. The occupacies of the well-known hotels and accommodations were at high speed.

Moon Garden Tagaytay is another underrated gem in Tagaytay, though I have never been to Bali, as testaments of previous guests it features a Bali feels ambiance. I'm no longer a fan of a particular place being a second rate, like "The bali of..." or "The Santorini of..." I realized that each place I visit has its own sense of uniqueness and it doesn't need to be compared just to get validated, same for Moon Garden. The place was perfect for soul searching, peaceful yet appealing to the eyes, it's a good spot to take photos or even for prenup.

The only let down I could think of was the division of the rest room, it's not entirely close, the upper side of the wall that connects the entire room and rest room was open so when you take a dump you'll get conscious of the loud smell that might reach the other side. Also, there's no rest room door, it was just a curtain that just served as a door. Basically, Casita 2 is ideal for couples only, in my case I brought a friend since it's max of 3 pax. It was a bit awkward, they could at least put an exhaust fan.

THE FOOD

Given that the place was gorgeous, included on the rate was a free breakfast. Through its name you will have a hint that they serve greens on the plate, and of course Filipino style breakfast. We ordered Home made corned beef, adobo flakes, and lamuyo (fried danggit) and a variety of fruits.

The photos below would tell you how we enjoyed the food. Everything they served including the plating were all well-thought of. Note that they only serve breakfast meals, so better check other options for your lunch and dinner.

 WHERE TO EAT

Moon Garden only serves breakfast, but it's Tagaytay so you will never run out of options. For our lunch and dinner we had it in RSM and Greenhouse Cafe, you can also try other restaurants like D'BAS Bulalohan , Balay Dako, Leslie's, and other good restaurants nearby.

By the way, I underestimated the weather in Tagaytay, I intentionally left my jacket in our room coz I want to feel the cold weather while having our dinner, turned out to be my biggest mistake. It was stinging cold, I couldn't finish my food (laughs). Do not even try you guys.

PET FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATION

Also in Moon Garden Tagaytay, you can bring your pets. It is one of those pet friendly accommodations, you just have to clean after your pets as there are other guests to consider, not all guests are pet friendly sometimes this can breed tension between gueats. I also suggest you put their leash on if needed to avoid damage fixture. I wish I brought my fur babies here, they will surely love to run around free (or with leashes).

This place is perfect for relaxation, I'm so happy to share with you guys the experience I had with Moon Garden Tagaytay. I hope to see yours soon.
